Interior design has shifted from light to dark. Many Gig Harbor homeowners opt for shades of black, brown, and grey rather than pale woods. From cabinets to faucets, several things are taking on a darker hue. To many, these darker colors create a pleasant ambiance and balance the stresses of daily life.

The downside to dark decor is that like any trend, it will pass. The pink bathtubs from the 60s and forest greens of the 80s certainly date a room. However, if done correctly, your Gig Harbor home will be transformed from conventional to warm and cozy.
