The developmental stage of a child affects a families decision to reside in the city or the suburbs. Typically, a family in a Gig Harbor home will live in the suburbs when their kids are younger. Kids are more likely to play with children their own age and experience the freedom of playing outside. Life is far less methodized in the suburbs and parents can pool recources with other parents regarding child rearing systems.

A child is more likely to be near man-made structures when they reach jr. high or adolescence, instead of a natural setting. Movie theaters and shopping malls become popular hangouts. Urban areas, with plenty of social activities and job opportunities, are where children are likely to move to once they reach adulthood.

When a child marries and has kids of his or her own, they sometimes move back to the suburbs and the cycle starts over . Contact Gig Harbor real estate today for information on Gig Harbor homes!
