You can add value to your Gig Harbor home by improving your dining room or deck. When it comes time to sell, certain renovations might end up costing you.

In hot, dry areas, putting in a swimming pool is critical. The idea of pool upkeep is enough to turn buyers away in so many of the cooler regions. Families with young children might not want to buy a house with a pool. The new room you added on is a great place for the kids to play, but you might not have considered how it looks from the exterior. A poorly designed addition will be hard to sell, especially when it doesn't fit the rest of the house.
