The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) adopted improved remodel regulations, which will impact older Gig Harbor homes . The EPA asks for lead training, certification, and safe work practive requirements for builders taking part in such activities when remodeling homes built prior to 1978. They hope to to get rid of the public health concern of lead poisoning by the year 2010.

Lead was used in paint for so many years and is an especially harmful metal. Children under the age of six are most at risk since their nervous systems have not completely developed. A range of health problems can happen to anyone. Contact Gig Harbor real estate with any inquiries with regards to lead in your home.

In the Gig Harbor condo market, there's a bit of competition for buyers. To set your condo above the others and to guarantee a quicker sale, there are a few things you can do. Above all, the price must be right. Price your condo according to the local market and nearby neighborhood. More brokers mean more exposure so invite several brokers over for an open house.

For each would-be buyer, create an individual "resource list." Empty nesters are probably interested in fine dining or museums while families are searching for local schools or day-care centers. Major points of interest must be bathrooms and the kitchen. Putting money towards improvements here will pay off big time. My last piece of advice, offer incentives such as a few months free cable or grocery store gift card.
